History
Silverstone was born out of an unsuccessful attempt to find a quality and durable amp cover for my Vox AC30’s.
After searching the internet I was not impressed with thin Nylon or Cordula covers that were only available in black and looked creased like bin bags. Not good for the image.
I wanted style, class and protection without the weight of a flight case. Disheartened, I decided to use my trimming skills and make my own covers.
When I was touring with The Division (A Joy Division Tribute Band) my pair of AC30’s would arrive clean, dry and unscathed. My covers were the envy of other guitarists who asked me to make covers for their amps. Realising I had a great product I decided to set up shop and make covers full time.
Working firstly from a small unit we have now progressed to purpose built premises, adding the latest computer aided design and sewing machine technology. My automotive trimming, design and musical background has proved invaluable.
Products
We offer three styles of covers.
Classic = Modern in a wide range of colours.
Vintage = Sleek and Retro with protective piping.
Two Tone = Contemporary with colour contrast stitching and a centre stripe.
Both Vintage and 2 Tone covers have numerous colour combinations.
A Silverstone Amp Cover has been designed and engineered to give your amp a life time of protection against Knocks, Scrapes, Dust, Spills and Damp. The covers are also anti-static, fire retardant and will insulate and protect against valve damage when transporting hot amps into the cold.
Our covers are padded as standard and not as an optional extra. The only optional extra is a side pocket which will safely hold your power lead, guitar leads, stings and lyrics etc. Vintage style covers have armoured side protecting piping that protects against knocks and scrapes.
